The room

Spicy Sombrero is a Mexican restaurant with a street-front terrace in the Dee Quarters Building on Sukhumvit Road, between Soi 13 and Soi 15. It opened in 2026. Its website credits a founder who ran taco events before it opened, and an executive chef who cooks from family recipes. It names neither of them.

The agave list runs to 25 labels: 18 tequilas, five mezcals, and two raicillas. Of the 18 tequilas, 16 come from six brands on the additive-free list, including Cascahuín, G4, and Don Fulano. The two that don't are the dearest bottles on the menu, Clase Azul reposado at ฿22,000 and Don Julio 1942 at ฿19,000.

Nine of its labels are also on Ojo's list, and all nine cost less here. Cascahuín añejo is ฿360 a glass against ฿460 at Ojo. Aguas Mansas espadín is ฿350 against ฿490. Both menus add a 10 percent service charge and tax, and neither gives the glass size.

Only 15 of the 25 labels come by the glass, at ฿200–฿400. Happy hour runs 11:00–18:00 on weekdays and 15:00–18:00 on weekends. El Tequileño Blanco drops from ฿200 to ฿140, and Don Mateo Ensamble from ฿240 to ฿180. On Mondays, the third Margarita is free with two.

The Margaritas don't name their tequila. The SS Signature, at ฿360, adds chili, cloves, and celery. The two raicillas are both La Xamana, one distilled once and one twice. Ojo is the only other bar in this directory with raicilla on a published menu.

Additive-free: 16 of the 18 tequilas come from brands on Tequila Matchmaker's verified list, checked 23 Sep 2026. Tequila Matchmaker dropped the program in 2024. The six brands are Cascahuín, Don Fulano, El Tequileño, G4, Paladar, and Volans. The list rates brands, not single bottles.
