The room

Ojo is the Mexican restaurant on the 76th floor of the King Power Mahanakhon tower, part of The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. Francisco “Paco” Ruano, the chef behind Alcalde, runs the kitchen. Milk Thanaworachayakit runs the drinks.

The agave list is why it is in this directory. It runs to 81 labels, mostly tequila and mezcal, with bacanora, sotol, and raicilla at the edges. Nothing on it is cheap. The cheapest glass is ฿380.

The way in is a flight. Each of the three Agave Adventures flights is three 30 ml pours: Agave 101 at ฿890, Agave Terroir at ฿1,000, and Aguas Mansas at ฿1,290. The Aguas Mansas flight pours tobalá, cuishe, and espadín from one producer.

Thaiger lists the Ojo Margarita at ฿450. It adds jalapeño and a sparkling top, with avocado salt on the rim. Thailand Guide lists El Santero, mezcal with hibiscus, lime, and honey, at ฿480.

Thailand Guide also gives a dinner minimum of ฿2,000 per person inside and ฿3,500 on the terrace at sunset. By its count, the short rib birria alone is ฿1,800.
